David Jackson Brack

DUBLIN – David Jackson Brack, 61, of Stanley Cemetery Rd. passed away Thursday in Dublin. Services will be held Sunday January 7, 2018 at 300PM in the Dudley Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Dawes, Rev. Clint Crozier, and Coach Jimmy Fields will officiate. Burial will be in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. David was born in Dublin, the son of the late Oscar J. and Mamie Jean Wells Brack. David was a retired Major with the Georgia State Patrol, serving 34 years with the GSP. While with the State Patrol, David served as the Head of Security for Governor Sonny Perdue, Head of Security for the World Wide G 8 Summit, He led the SWAT Team for the State of Georgia, Supervisor in Governors Task Force on Marijuana. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, member of Laurens Masonic Lodge 75. David Coached Football at Trinity Christian School for Eight Years. He was a member of Dudley Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Tammy J. Brack, His children, John David (Keira) Brack, Drew (Jennifer) Brack, Elizabeth Brack, Jackson Brack. Sister, Brenda Rowell, and Dee Neville. David was raised by Robert and Juanita Drew. He had several Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 Sunday before services in Dudley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the David Brack Memorial Fund for his children’s education. Memorial Fund set up at the Bank of Dudley. All Georgia State Patrol Troopers, and former Troopers along with current and former Trinity Christian School football players are asked to be Honorary Pallbearers.
