Rena L. Goldenberg

Dublin, Georgia - Rena Goldenberg, 87, peacefully moved to her new home in heaven on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was the daughter of Leonard and Hélène Bourgoin. A former real estate agent in New York City, New York and then a French High School teacher in Baltimore, Maryland, she later retired and moved to warmer climates in Gainesville, Georgia.

Rena is preceded in death by many friends and loved ones, to include her parents, and her three beloved older sisters Lillian Michaud, Madeleine Holmquist, and Loretta Thériault.

Rena was a strong and resilient, accomplished woman who lived a full life. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a love of fashion with more shoes than you could shake a stick at, and was authentically witty, kind, generous, and faithful. She would have laughed about being summoned for jury duty the week of her passing, and say something like, “I suppose my Heavenly Father had better plans!” She blessed many others far more than they ever blessed her, and has received her reward from Her Father in heaven.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing” - 2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬.

She leaves a host of loving friends and family members that ranges from Maine to Indiana to Georgia and beyond.

A private ceremony will be held per Rena’s wishes and guidance.
