The Family will receive friends, Wednesday August 11th, 2021 at 6:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, GA Service will take place on Thursday August 12th at 11:00 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hwy 441 Dublin, GA, with burial at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilkinson County, with military honors. Rev. Father Stevens will officiate. Frank was born on December 5th, 1935 in Danville, GA the son of the late SD Mickler and Ruth Layton. Frank was a 31-year retired Army Sergeant Major (Vietnam Veteran) with the last duty station held at 3rd Armored Division and GS-12 Civil Service School Misconduct Officer in Frankfurt, Germany. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Warner Robins Council #4371. SGM Frank T. Mickler’s honorable military career spanned 31 years to include 4 prestigious tours with the following Units: 101st Screaming Eagles Dec 1954 thru Mar 1955 2d Armored Division Oct 1959 thru Jan 1959, Ft. Hood, TX 2d Armored Division Nov 1960 thru Sep 1963, Ft. Riley, KS 1st Cavalry Division Jun 1968 thru Jul 1969, Vietnam Survivors include his Wife, Angelina Mickler. Brother, John.C. Mickler and his wife Glenda Mickler. Brother, Dave Mickler and his wife Runette Mickler. Daughters, Donna Mickler, and Rita Dempsey. Stepson, Chris Duff, Stepdaughter, Joanne Flanary. Two Grandchildren, Remy Goodes, and Ryan Dempsey. Two Step Grandchildren Alina and Alyssa Flanary. Several nieces and nephews.
