Vertie Mae Sheffield

MACON – Vertie Mae Williams Sheffield, 100, of Greenway Pl, passed away Wednesday in Macon. Graveside services will be held Saturday December 23, 2017 at 1100AM in Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Charles Carter will officiate. Mrs. Sheffield, was born in Wilkinson County, the daughter of the late, Luther Elijah Williams and Martha Jane Cauley Williams. She was the widow of the late William B. Sheffield, and was preceded in death by her sons, Donald Sheffield and David Sheffield and her Daughter Shelley S. Floyd. Mrs. Sheffield was retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission and was a member of Lanier Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Gary (Donna) Sheffield, Bill (Bertha Lou) Sheffield and Patricia (Danny) Lumpkin. Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty Four Great Grand Children and Fourteen Great Great Grandchildren. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
