DANVILLE – Elaine Thompson, 58, of Canton Rd., passed away February 16, 2018 in Macon.

Graveside services will be held Sunday February 18, 2018 at 300PM in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sam Collins will officiate.

Miss Thompson was born July 28, 1959, in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Mabel (Margie) Anderson Thompson. Elaine attended school at Happy Hour School and was a former employee of Happy Hour Recycling and the Phoenix House. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her Father Ben Thompson. Caretakers, Arthur and Patsy Thompson. Aunts, Betty T. Floyd and Mary Ann Patten along with numerous cousins.

DRY BRANCH, GA – Elizabeth Danielle Cofield Hale, 35, of GA Hwy 129, passed away Wednesday at her residence.

At Danielle s request no services will be held.

Danielle was born in Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents William and Alice Cofield, William H. Mercer, and James O. (Skeet) Bloodworth. Her great Grandparents, Daniel Shine Faulk, Jr. and Emma Faulk, and her Aunt Cynthia Brooks. Danielle was a graduate of Twiggs Academy and was an Underwriting Tech with GEICO Insurance.

Survivors include her Children, Jadyn Hale and Kalia Hale. Her Parents, Beth and Butch Bloodworth, and Danny and Joy Cofield. Sisters, Christina (Mike) Robart, Summer Cofield and Priscilla Cofield. Grandparents, Dolores Myers, Agnes Mercer, and Peggy Bloodworth. Uncles Billy Mercer, and Jerry Brooks. Aunts Rhonda Chambers and Donna Logan. Great Aunt Mary Jane (Al) Simpson.

JEFFERSONVILLE – Olis Floyd Thompson, 88, of Prospect Church Rd., passed away Sunday at her residence.

Services will be held Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 300PM in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Charles Carter will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Jeffersonville, the daughter of the late Joseph Stanley Floyd and Mary Lou Floyd Floyd. She was the widow of the late David Thompson, Sr., and was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia T. Little, her sister Sybima Hamm, her brother Jesserell (Buddie) Floyd, and her great granddaughters Ashley Lauran Skipper and Chelsie Little. Olis was a homemaker and a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her Son David (Estella) Thompson, Jr. Sister Sue Hinson, Brothers, Fred Floyd and Deke Floyd. Grandchildren, Lora (Lynn) Sanders, Lisa (Rick) Beall, Craig Little, Kevin (Margaret) Little, David (Michele) Thompson, III, Nathan Thompson, Christel Kho, Irene Arenal, and Karina Bazzell. Twenty three Great Grandchildlren and Eleven Great Great Grandchildren.

GRAY – John Ray Thomas, III, 51, passed away Sunday in Macon.

Services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1100AM in New Haven Baptist Church. John's Brother in Law Rev. Alex Bell along with Rev. John Mannering will officiate.

Mr. Thomas was born in Panama City, FL. He was preceded in death by his Mother Claudia Annette Walker Collins and by his Granddaughter Isabella Crozier. John was a former Police Officer with the city of Gray Police Dept., and was a former Deputy Sheriff with the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Dept. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Crystal Lee, Jordan Thomas, Tanner Thomas, and Joni Thomas. His Father, Ray (Tammy) Thomas. Four Grandchildren. Two Brothers, Will (Ashley) Mizell, and Tim (Angel) Thomas. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

JEFFERSONVILLE, GA – Merle Hart Arnold, 82, of Ridge Dr., passed away Saturday in Macon.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 200PM in Voice of Truth Church in Irwinton, GA. Burial will be in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery. Terry Stark and Phil Mills will officiate.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Empire (Beckley County), GA, the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Mattie Lou Perdue Hart. She was a retired Librarian after 35 years, with the Twiggs County Public Library. Merle was the first female to serve on the Twiggs County Board of Education. She was a cancer survivor and very active in the Relay for Life events. Merle was a member of The Voice of Truth Church.

Survivors include her Husband, Hubert Arnold. Children, Daughter, Lisa (Keith) Rich of Milledgeville, Son, Steve Arnold of North Augusta, SC. Granddaughter Erika Thomas of Hamlin, NY. Sister Loujean Lewis of McDonough, GA. Several Nieces and Nephews.

JEFFERSONVILLE, GA – Alan Wimberly Faulk, 42, of Hwy 96, passed away Saturday at his residence after a long battle with cancer.

Private Graveside services will be held at 200PM Monday January 22, 2018, in the Faulk Family Cemetery. Rev. Bob Powell will officiate.

Alan was born in Macon, GA. He was a University of Georgia graduate with a degree in Forestry, and was the owner and operator of Faulk Land and Timber. Alan enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid supporter of UGA Bulldog Football. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Morgan and Tency Sanders and John W. and Austelle Faulk.

Survivors include his parents, Rabun and Jewell Faulk. Brothers, Robert (Amy) Rickerson, Jr. and Daniel (Shelley) Faulk. Nieces, Miranda Crabtree and Clara Rickerson.

Macon, GA – Gary Bryant (Crash) Stuckey, 68, passed away January 17, 2018 at Pine Pointe Hospice after a year long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday January 20, 2018 in the chapel of Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Rev. Jeffery Shepherd will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm before the service.

Mr. Stuckey was born in Macon to the late Alton Bryant and Clara Alberta Stuckey. He is preceded in death by his siblings Patricia Gail Sewell and Alvin B. Stuckey. Gary was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School. After graduation he joined the US Army where he served for 3 years. After his service for his county Gary worked as a mechanic and a truck driver. He loved riding motorcycles, his Harley Davidson, and working on fast cars.

Gary is survived by his lifelong companion Sue Stuckey, son, Brian Daniel (Mollie) Stuckey, three grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, and Katie, two siblings, Margaret Lott and Jane Page, many nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive.

Services will be held Sunday January 21, 2018 at 1000AM in the Jeffersonville Church of God. Burial will be at a later date in Florida. Rev. Gary Walker and Rev. Jeff Johnson will officiate.

Mrs. Willoughby was born in Orlando, FL. The daughter of the late William M. Patrick and Edna Jane Rogers. She was a former employee of the Orange County FL School System, and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Eustis, FL. She was the widow of the late, Clarence Willoughby. She was preceded in death by her son James Walker and her step daughter Sarah Ann Bonnie, and by her Brother Maurice Patrick and sister Elizabeth Hancock.

Survivors include her Son, Gary M. (Linda) Walker. Her Daughter, Katherine (Richard) Scott. Four Grandchildren, Tanya (Martin) Douglas, Richie Scott, Tiffany Scott, and Tara (Jeff) Johnson and Three Great Grandchildren, Mollie Beth Johnson, Walker Johnson, and Aiden Scott

Mrs. Hill was born in Gordon, the daughter of the late Leonard (Soda Pop) Mixon and Alice Pauline Hardy Mixon. She was the widow of the late, Howard H. Hill, and was preceded in death by her son, Edward Lee Hill. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Mixon, Kenny Lee Mixon, and Agnes Fountain. Grace was a homemaker and and loved caring for children in her home. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served as church Treasurer for many years.

Survivors include her Sons, Mark (Jan) Hill, and David (Sandra) Hill. Grandchildren, Matthew Hill, Melissa (Nelson) Gordon, Ashley Hill, Jennifer (Kyle) Burns, Jaime Hill, and Jonathan Hill. Great Grandchildren, Anslee Benton, Cade Benton, Dawson Johnson, Emma Kate Gordon, Colton Gordon, Isaac Gordon. Her Brother, Carl Mixon. Sister in law Mary Jo Cross. Best Friend for over 50 years Peggie Pritchard. Several Nieces and Nephews.

WRIGHTSVILLE, GA - Mark Page, 63, passed away January 12, 2018 in Dublin, Ga.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 100 p.m. in the social hall of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Ga. Come and help the family celebrate Mark's life.

Mark was born in Johnson County and was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Page and his brother, Billy Page. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Page of Sandersville, sisters Jean Fordham of Sandersville, Carol Page of Milledgeville, brothers David (Kathy) Page of Wrightsville, Ricky (Kim) Page of Scott, John (Elaine) Page of Linton. Dorothy was born in Dublin, Ga the daughter of the late Herschel and Myrtle Moore Rozar. She was the widow of the late Joseph Buster Dame and Lee Burke. Dorothy was a former Hairdresser and Seamstress. She attended Danville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Valorie (Douglas) Chance. Her Son Jeffrey Dame. Grandchildren, Henry (Whitney) Chance, Beth Chance, Jereme (Katy) Dame, and Erika (Mitch) Fulford. Great Grandchildren, Madelyn Chance, Grimsley Fulford, and Marvin Lee Fulford.

Ms. Kirkpatrick was born in Danville, GA, the daughter of the late John W. and Gladys Corine Nobles Kirkpatrick. Jackie was a former employee of several Banking Institutions. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and attended Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

DUBLIN – David Jackson Brack, 61, of Stanley Cemetery Rd. passed away Thursday in Dublin.

Services will be held Sunday January 7, 2018 at 300PM in the Dudley Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Dawes, Rev. Clint Crozier, and Coach Jimmy Fields will officiate. Burial will be in the Dublin Memorial Gardens.

David was born in Dublin, the son of the late Oscar J. and Mamie Jean Wells Brack. David was a retired Major with the Georgia State Patrol, serving 34 years with the GSP. While with the State Patrol, David served as the Head of Security for Governor Sonny Perdue, Head of Security for the World Wide G 8 Summit, He led the SWAT Team for the State of Georgia, Supervisor in Governors Task Force on Marijuana. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, member of Laurens Masonic Lodge 75. David Coached Football at Trinity Christian School for Eight Years. He was a member of Dudley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy J. Brack, His children, John David (Keira) Brack, Drew (Jennifer) Brack, Elizabeth Brack, Jackson Brack. Sister, Brenda Rowell, and Dee Neville. David was raised by Robert and Juanita Drew. He had several Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 Sunday before services in Dudley Baptist Church.

MACON – Vertie Mae Williams Sheffield, 100, of Greenway Pl, passed away Wednesday in Macon.

Mrs. Sheffield, was born in Wilkinson County, the daughter of the late, Luther Elijah Williams and Martha Jane Cauley Williams. She was the widow of the late William B. Sheffield, and was preceded in death by her sons, Donald Sheffield and David Sheffield and her Daughter Shelley S. Floyd. Mrs. Sheffield was retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission and was a member of Lanier Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Donna) Sheffield, Bill (Bertha Lou) Sheffield and Patricia (Danny) Lumpkin. Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty Four Great Grand Children and Fourteen Great Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Hamrick was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Claude F. and Monte Cranford Hamrick. He was the widower of the late Corine Dixon Hamrick. Mr. Everett was a retired Foreman with Cherokee Brick and Tile. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving as a medium tank operator in World War II. He was a member of Jeffersonville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his Daughter, Dianne (Larry) Barlow, and Son, Lawton (Julie) Hamrick. Grandchildren, Tammy (Dusty) Yearty, Amanda (Ty) Herrington, Christopher (Kellie) Hamrick, Tyler Hamrick, and Tessa Hamrick. Great Grandchildren, D.J. Yearty, Bo Yearty, Cohen Herrington, Annaclaire Herrington, and Paisley Hamrick.

Mr. Hester was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Clovis and Florence Passinger Hester. He was preceded in death by his Brother, Kenneth Hester. Steve was a retired warehouse manager after 44 years with Coca Cola. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Steve was a member and Deacon at Stone Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his Wife Barbara K. Hester. Children; Greg Hester, Becky Hester, and Andy Hester. Grand Daughter, Sarah Jean Hester. Sister, Jeanette H. (Irv) LaPratt. DANVILLE Cathy Loyd Coussons, 62, of Stuckey Rd., passed away at her home November 25, 2017 after a long struggle with sarcoidosis, a crippling lung disease.

Graveside services will be held Monday November 27, 2017 at 1100AM in Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Chris Scott will officiate.

Mrs. Coussons was born in Milledgeville, the daughter of the late Alton L. (Bo) Loyd and Dorothy Grinstead Loyd. She was preceded in death by her son Adam Christopher Coussons. Cathy was a life long resident of Wilkinson County and was the Bookkeeper for Loyd Oil Company. She was a member of Big Sandy Baptist Church.

Survivors include her Husband of 45 years, Tommy Coussons. Her Son, Brad (Renee) Coussons. Grandson Logan Coussons, and Sister Carol Ann (Truitt) Payne. Step Mother Annie M. Loyd. Nephew Andrew Toler, and great Nephew Jared Toler

Mr. Griffin was born in Moultrie, GA the son of the late Paul Emmitt Griffin and Beulah Mae Hurst Griffin. He was the widower of the late Judy Kay Leedom Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a Farmer in the Orange Grove at Holly Hills Inc. in Florida. Tracy was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his Daughters, Tina Kirkland, and Melissa Griffin. Children, Paul (Nancy) Thompson, III, Jesse Thompson, John Thompson, Shayne Thompson, Marjorie (Clarence) Loper, Samantha (Kim) Thompson, Martin Thompson, Tracy Thompson, Tiffany (Charles) Nicholas, Barbara Kirkland, Debbie Carter, Brenda Monk, and Jeannie Hill. Mrs. Null was born in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of the late Rufus H. and Marjorie Stanfield Lowe. She was the widow of the late Robert Null and was preceded in death by her sister Sylvia Lowe. Gloria was a Homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her children, Eric G. Abbott, Shana A. (Mike) Carden, Cynthia L. (Tex) Abbott, Troy L. (Terri) Null, and Colby N. Null. Brothers, Jerry Lowe, Dennis Lowe and Tony Lowe. Eighteen Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren.

DANVILLE – James Davis (David) Whitaker, Sr., of Sanders-Whitaker Rd., passed away Friday at his residence.

Services will be held Monday November 20, 2017 at 300PM in Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Bedingfield and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate.

Mr. Whitaker was born in Macon, GA the son of the late James Buford (J.B.) and Janie Davis Whitaker. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA Degree. David was retired from J. M. Huber where he was the Director of Human Resources for over 30 years. He was the Executive Director of the Georgia Employee Association for the Southeastern Region. David was a former President of the Georgia Cattlemens Association and a member of the Georgia Farm Bureau. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Chairman of various committees. David was a Black Belt in Karate and enjoyed Tae Kwon Do. He was an avid jogger having participated in multiple 5K and Triathlon events. He was a former employee of Hospice of Houston County, and was a founder and Business Manager of Bleckleyprogress.com. David was a Veteran of the National Guard. Above all he was a devoted Father, Brother, and friend.

Survivors include his son, James D. (Dave) Whitaker, Jr., his daughter Dr. April Whitaker. Sister Shari (John) Dobbs. Nieces and Nephews, Steve and Rachel Norris, and Tammy and Bruce Marshall. Great Nieces and Nephews, Brook and Caitlin Norris and Brinkley Marshall. Devoted cousin Faye Mullis

Mrs. Nobles was born in Hawkinsville, GA the daughter of the late, Jimmy E. Tarpley and Betty Jean Tarpley Long. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy (Skeet) Tarpley, and Charlie Long, and Step Father William (Dick) Long. Lisa was a Medical Assistant with Community Health, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Twiggs County, GA David Richard Sangster, SR. was born July 24, 1937 to Earl and Georgia Thompson Sangster. They preceded him in death, as did his siblings, Thelma Sangster, Virginia Hay, Earlene Leatherwood, Oscar Sangster and Watson Sangster. Born and raised in Twiggs County, he lived there his entire life, except for his four years in the Air Force. He retired from RAFB.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jewell Douglas Sangster, his children and their spouses, Beverly Anis, Yvonne Neill, Lynn Jones (Rick), and David Sangster, JR. (Sheryl). He is also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses, Matt Sangster (Sandy), Lee Cooper, Casey Cooper, Bridgitt Knight (AJ), Christopher Neill, Rebecca Neill, Travis Neill, Heather Mullis(Eric), Joshua Watkins (Amanda), Rachel Bostian (Donnie), David Sangster, III(Brittany), and Paige Sangster. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Gavin, Emma, Hunter Ethan, Christian, Steven Lee, Ragan, Rylee, Mila, Aiden, Mckennah, Kinlee, Isabella, David IV, Caleb, and Eve. He is also survived by his siblings, Leonard Sangster, Frank Sangster, Carolyn Sangster, and special nephew, Rory Sangster.

David was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He died in his home on November 7, 2017.

Funeral services will be held November 11, 2017 at 200 pm at Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Reverend Charles Carter will be officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday November 10, 2017 at Reece Funeral Home from 600 pm to 800 pm.

Mr. Mercer was born in Twiggs County, the son of the late William H. and Selma Hamrick Mercer. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Mercer, and by his Sisters, Harriet Mercer and Mildred Mercer Futch. Bill was a retired Shipping Supervisor with Freeport Kaolin in Gordon, GA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam, and was a member of the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes M. Mercer. Children, Jerry Brooks, Rhonda Chambers, Billy Mercer, and Beth (Butch) Bloodworth. Sisters, Helen Watson, Patti (W.M.) Foster, and Ophelia Paulk. Brother, Garner Mercer. Nine Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren.

DUBLIN – Ellen Barron Adams, 82, died early Wednesday morning Octtober 11, 2017 at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday at Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin, GA. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 before the service in the church.

Mrs. Adams was born in Bibb County but lived in Laurens County all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Dr. O.D. and Eva Nelson Barron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald C. Adams, Sr. She was a graduate of Brenau Academy in Gainesville, GA and received her B.S. Degree from the University of Georgia where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Beta Kappa Scholastic Societies and Phi MU Sorority. She was a member of the Dublin Girls Cotillion Club, the Women’s Study Club, and a retired member and past President of the Dublin Service League. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin and served on the Vestry from 1976 until 1979. She was a former member of the Board of Directors of Adams Funeral Home, Inc., and of the Rentz Banking Company. She worked for many years for the Barron Family Partnership which owned the Rentz Banking Company, Barron Fertilizer Co., Rentz Ginning Company, Rentz Bonded Warehouses, Barron Insurance Agency and Barron Farms.

She is survived by her son, Gerald C. Adams, Jr.(Emily) of Dublin. Grandson David B. Adams of Atlanta. Sister Marie B. Gillis of Soperton, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. And by her very special friends, Ann Johnson, Al Lamb, Francis Lewis, Jane Holliman, and Joann Hilburn, who along with others too many to name, brought joy, love and light to her life.

A tremendous thank you to Della Stanley, Willa Washington, Andrea Billue, Evelyn Pauldo, and Retha Wright who through all the years of her illness took wonderful care of her and by doing so allowed her to remain in her home. And most especially to Gregory Tucker without whom we would never have been able to make this journey.

Pallbearers will be David B. Adams, Gregory Tucker, Francis M. Lewis, Barron N. Gills, Neil L. Gillis IV, Ben Watson.

She was born on February 4, 1938 in Jeffersonville, Georgia, to Bert and Alice (Floyd) Hasty. She was one of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Ward, and her only son, David Neal Brown. She was a member of the Ridge Baptist Church of Summerville for over 40 years.

Surviving are her three daughters, Sherree Wallace, Caye Brown, and Lisa Allen. Step-children, Herbert Ward Jr., Tommy Ward, Sheri Stanfield, and Debbie Kladivko. A sister, Charlotte Tarpley, a brother, Dan Hasty, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2107 at 11 am followed by the life well celebrated service at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston.

Hill, Francis Hill, Jerry Hill, and Edgar Ross Hill. Howard was the owner of Howard H. Hill Enterprises, where among other things, he provided Trampolines to children all over the southern United States for almost 50 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Mabel Masonic Lodge 255, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Mixon Hill. Sons, Mark (Jan) Hill, and David (Sandra) Hill. Sister Mary Jo Cross. He was preceded in death by his sister Juanita Abney, his brothers Hembree Thompson and Joseph Thompson. Charles was retired from the Twiggs County Sheriffs Dept., and also was a former Jeffersonville Police Officer. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include his son, Charles (Chucky) E. (Catsey) Thompson, Jr.. Brother Ernest Thompson. Grandchildren Andrew Thompson and Jordan Thompson. Several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Loyd was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Samuel Horace Loyd and Irene Bolden Loyd. He was the widower of the late Dellena Sue Loyd and was precedesd in death by his Grandson Brian David Loyd, Brothers, Doug Loyd and Jack Loyd, Sisters, Doris Young, Margaret Tucker, and Doris Robinson. Mr. Chester was a self employed Drywall Installer, and enjoyed selling fruits and vegetables. He was a Minister of the Gospel.

Survivors include his children, Wendell Loyd, Jack(Debra) Loyd, David Loyd, Virginia Simpson, Amanda (Terry Bray) Thomas, Danielle (Robert) Graham, and James (Tina) Loyd. Brother, Rev. Mrs. Beier was born in Starke, FL, the daughter of the late Eli and Nancy Prescott. She was the widow of the late John Clifford Beier, and was preceded in death by her daughter in law Stephanie Matteson and her grandson Travis M. Dow, sister Louise Raulerson, and Aunt Edna Cothran. Mrs. Beier was a member of Trinity UMC where she was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Robins Air Force Base and a member of Waterford Golf Club. She was also a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Bruce) Radebaugh, her son, John Matteson. Grandchildren, Gareth Matteson, Kathryn Dow, and Scott (Amanda) Radebaugh. DANVILLE – Agnes Alaverne Hodge Moore, 91, of Moore Rd., passed away Tuesday at her residence.

Services will be held Saturday July 22, 2017 at 3:00PM in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elsharath Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Franklin Bryant and Rev. Eddie Moore will officiate.

Mrs. Moore was born in Bluffton, SC, the daughter of the late Thomas Hayward Hodge, Sr. and Agnes Hiott Hodge. She was the widow of the late Arthur Lee Moore, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Hayward Hodge, Jr., Albert Mallard Hodge and George Warren Hodge.

She graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Bluffton High School, she attended Winthrope College in Rock Hill SC, and taught at Crandall Business College in Savannah GA. She and her husband of 55 years were married at Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah in June 1947. They moved to Danville in 1959, where she was active in her community, having served as president of the Danville Elementary and Twiggs County High School Parent Teacher Association. She was retired from the Twiggs County Department of Family and Children Services, and has served on several county committees since her retirement. She was a lifetime member of the French Huguenot Society of South Carolina, the Women of the Moose and the National Federation of Republican Women, and was a contributor to the Republican Party. Mrs. Moore was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Savannah.

Survivors include her Sons, Arthur Lee (Tracy) Moore, Jr., and John Alva Moore. Grandchildren, George Felton (Anna) Moore, Arthur Lee (Laurie) Moore III, Polly Macgill (Mark Edward) Frutchey, Tara Christina (Justin) Grant, Brittney Agnes (Lamar) Young. Great Grandchildren, Artur Lee Moore IV, Davis Gibson Moore, Brooks Anderson Moore, Mark William Frutchey, Luke Felton Frutchey, Knox Edward Frutchey, Parker Felton Moore, Breanna Lynn Maddox, Macie Agnes Young.

Mrs. Pierce was born in Wilkinson County, the daughter of the late Marvin Edwin and Annie Irene Butler Knight. She was the widow of the late J.B. Pierce. Elizabeth loved the Lord and truly had a servants heart. She was a Beautician, Secretary for Knight Brothers Lumber Co., Secretary for Allentown Chip Co., and even worked at the Wilkinson County Convenience Center. Her dedication to serve others showed in that she worked even up to last Wednesday, then took a few days to enjoy her family whom she loved dearly.

Survivors include her children, James D. (Donna) Pierce, Lynne Pierce, and Farrell (Keysha) Pierce. Grandchildren, Clay (Jessie) Lavender, Candace (Michael) Gibson, Rachel (Josh) Thigpen, Elizabeth Tyre, and Silas Pierce. Tucci was preceded in death by her Grandmother Pamela Darley, her Grandfather (Big) Russell Crosby and her Great Grandmother Audrey P. Crosby.

Mitzi was born in Macon, the Granddaughter of the late Mauk and Mabel Thompson and Marcelle and Clemon Allen. She was preceded in death by her brother John Mark Allen. Mitzi was very active in Special Olympics Events.

Survivors include her Parents, Frankie and Carolyn Allen. Siblings, Emily (Glenn) Hamilton, Richard (Mandy) Allen, and William (Tonya) Allen. Aunts and Uncles, Doug Allen, Betty (Charles) Cherry, Peggy Holladay, Johnny (Tina) Thompson, Larry Joe (Norma) Thompson, Evelyn (Mac) Land. Nieces and Nephews, Kacey and Callie Hamilton, Bridget (Ben) Lusk, Schyler Allen, Kaleb, Joshua and Alexander Markem, Faith, Breanna and Allison Allen. A Special Cousin Steve Land, and all of her Special Olympic Friends.

Memorial Services will be held Monday March 20, 2017 at 2:00PM in Reece Funeral Home. Rev. Dwayne Outlaw will officiate. The family will be at the residence at, 81 Virginia Circle, Jeffersonville, GA Sunday from 2 to 6 to receive friends, and will receive friends from 1 to 2 Monday before the service in the funeral home.

Mrs. Skinner was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late George Monroe and Nellie Louise Roberts Burch. She was the widow of the late Jimmy G. Skinner. Donna was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her Sons, James G. Skinner and Dennis M Skinner. Her Granddaughter, Carolina Grace Warner. One Brother and Two Sisters.

Mrs. Herrington was born in Macon, the daughter of the late Bobby Ray and Jacklyn Faircloth Hurt. She was preceded in death by her sister Cathy Asbell. Cindy was a member of the APA American Pool Association. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her Husband, Larry Herrington. Children, Chuck (Brandi) Hadden, Chris (Anita) Herrington, Amy (Matt) Leonard, Phil (Rhonda) Herrington, John (Robin) Herrington, and PJ (Chastyn) Thwreatt. Mr. Floyd was born in Jeffersonville, the son of the late Nora (Sis) Floyd. Winkie was preceded in death by his Brothers Robert Harrison Floyd and James (Rat) Floyd and his Sister Janet Scarborough. Mr. Floyd was retired from Armstrong World Corp and was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty T. Floyd. Daughter, Rita Berry, and Son J.D. (Melissa) Floyd, Jr. Grandchildren, Shannon (Nick) Cameron, Heather Berry, Jody (Aubrey) Floyd, and Trae Bowen. Five Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Miller was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Andrew M. and Mary Lois Coody Miller. He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Ray Miller. Neal was a Truck Driver for the Teamsters Local 728. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Neal was a Mason.

Survivors include his Wife, Jeanine R. Miller. Daughters, Jessica Nicole Miller Rojas, and Kacie Michelle Miller Payne. Three Grandchildren, Christian Rojas, Alyssa Rojas and Avery Payne. Step Son, Robert Lee James III. Two Step Grandsons, Robert Lee James IV and Jackson Brian James. Sisters, Mary Helen M. Rathbone, Peggy M. Carter, and Lyn M. Adams. Mr. NeSmith was born in Statesboro, GA the son of the late Walton Eddie and Ruby Mae Deal NeSmith Bryant. He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Vickie Lynn NeSmith Moore, and by Grand Daughter Melissa Brooke (Missy) Grizzle, and by Nine Brothers and Sisters. Mr. NeSmith was a retired Truck Driver with J.M. Huber and a retired Farmer. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his Wife Anne NeSmith. Children, Toby (Fran) NeSmith, Wayne (Sheila) NeSmith, and Bonnie (Michael) Grizzle. Brothers, Aaron Bryant, Franklin Bryant, Hezekiah Bryant, Dan Bryant and Sam Bryant. Twelve Grandchildren and Seventeen Great grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Larry (Carolyn) Brantley, Ray (Robin) Brantley, Steve (Debbie) Brantley; daughters, Angela (Preston) Glover, Rosalyn (Charles) Keily, Sharon Brantley, and Mary Ann (Everette) Warnock; sister, Avis (Charles) Walker; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
