Ava Pearl Mcleod Bowen

DANVILLE – Ava Pearl McLeod Bowen, 82, of Hwy 112, passed away Sunday in Macon. Services will be held Wednesday March 14, 2018 at 1100 AM in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Allentown City Cemetery. Rev. Randy Mimbs will officiate. Mrs. Bowen was born in Nashville, GA the daughter of the late Willard Elder McLeod and Bessie Mae Yawn McLeod. She was the widow of the late John Henry Bowen, and was preceded in death by her brother W.J. McLeod. Pearl was a Homemaker and attended Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, John Wayne (Margaret) Bowen, Judith Ann (Bob) Harkey, Frances (Kenneth) Frost, Bessie Hackle, Jessie Bowen, Gene Bowen, and Evelyn (Weston) Miller. Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday in the funeral home. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
