JEFFERSONVILLE, GA - Our dear Deena Michelle Moye sadly passed away on December 10th at the age of 50.

Deena was a well loved member of our community, an active member at the Jeffersonville Church of God and Twiggs Academy’s number one fan.

Born on May 21 1973, Deena dedicated her adult life to education. As a Middle school teacher at Twiggs Academy for 27 years, she has impacted so many students along the way. Deena graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville with a Bachelors Degree. During her time as a teacher she served as the cheerleading coach for high school and taught various grades of elementary students. She was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Beyond her professional career Deena’s devotion and love of her family and friends was beyond measure. Her faith in Christ was evident in everything she did. Deena loved all and was truly loved by all. Deena was preceded in death by her father Terry Moye and her brother Chad Moye.

She is survived by her mother, Sherry Moye, Great Aunt Nora Lou Floyd, aunts and uncles Pam and Glenn Floyd and Faye and Wilbur Fogarty and many cousins.

Services for Deena will be held Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Twiggs Academy gym. Visitation will be held at Reece funeral home in Jeffersonville on Tuesday, December 12th from 6-8pm.  Burial will be in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery.

Deena requested that everyone wear green and gold for Twiggs Academy or red and black for the Georgia Bulldogs.
