Frances W. Keene MACON – Frances Whatley Keene, 82, of Zebulon Rd., went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday April 3, 2022. Services will be held Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Siloam Baptist Church in Abbeville, GA. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Dr. Ronnie Spillers and Harold Reece, Jr. will officiate. Mrs. Keene was born in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late William and Kate “Peggy” Shackleford Whatley. She was the widow of the late Dr. Kenneth E. Keene, and was preceded in death by her Step-Father Ray Stephens and her Brother Billy Whatley. Frances served her Lord along side of her husband Kenneth, as he ministered as a Baptist Minister in Georgia and Texas. During her husband’s seminary education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, she was an integral part of his success, as she was an excellent English student and typed, edited, and proofed all his masters, and doctoral papers, which all received A+ in format. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and watching the Atlanta Braves, however it was her family and serving her Lord and Savior that gave her the most pleasure. Survivors include her daughter and live in caregiver, Karen Keene. Sons Michael (Phil) Keene and Keith Keene. Daughter Becky (Harold) Reece. Four Grandchildren, Hunter (Ansley) Reece, Jesse Reece, Alexis Keene and Ava Keene. Brother Clifford (Lynn) Stephens. Sister in Law Maryann Whatley.
