George W. Kaegi, Sr.

DRY BRANCH – George W. Kaegi, Sr., 71, of Pineland Rd., passed away Sunday in Gray. Services will be held Wednesday February 21, 2018 at 300PM in the chapel of Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Danny Young will officiate. Mr. Kaegi was born in Dry Branch, GA the son of the late Henry Eugene Kaegi and Lobbie Lyles Wilder. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Eddie Lyles. Mr. Kaegi was a retired Calisin Helper with Imery’s Kaolin. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carol D. Kaegi. Children, Connie (Chris) Burke, George (Candy) Kaegi, Jr., and Janice (Johnny) Churchwell. Grandchildren, Jessica Burke, Cody Kaegi, James Sauls, Josh Kaegi, Michaela Kaegi, Shelby Barfield, Caleigh Adkins, and Mackenzie Churchwell. Great Grandchildren, Paisleigh Kaegi, Brantley Kaegi, and Colton Kaegi. Brother, Larry Wilder. The family will receive friends from 130 to 300 Wednesday before the service in the funeral home. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
