Gretchen C. (Teency) Sanders

DANVILLE – Edith Gretchen Carden (Teency) Sanders, 92, of Sanders Whitaker Rd., passed away Thursday at her residence. Services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00am in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rex Odom will officiate. Mrs. Sanders was born in Danville, GA, the daughter of the late Jule and Elsie Chance Carden. She was the widow of the late Hoyt Morgan Sanders, Jr., and was preceded in death by her Brother Benjamin H. Carden. She attended Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker. Survivors include, her children, Hoyt (Theresa) Sanders, Cynthia (Dennis) Lee, and Jewell (Rabun) Faulk. Seven Grandchildren, Ken (Nicole) Sanders, Bob (Amy) Rickerson, Alan Faulk, Tara (Wesley) Odom, Daniel (Shelley) Faulk, Jennifer (Mackennen) Collins, and Jessica Lee. Ten Great Grandchildren, Ashley Odom, Brooke Yocum, Miranda Crabtree, Bailey Odom, Emily Sanders, Kayla Odom, Clara Rickerson, Ava Collins, Riley Collins, and Emma Collins. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 Saturday before the service In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Ronnie Howell, 331 Sanders Rd., Danville, GA 31017, or to the donors favorite charity Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
