JEFFERSONVILLE – Shirley Maureen Watson Jones, 76, of Main St. Passed away May 21, 2024 at her residence.

Services will be held Friday May 24, 2024 at 1:00PM at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hamrick and Rev. John Troutman will officiate.

Mrs. Jones was born in Macon, GA the daughter of Willie Fred Watson and Elizabeth “Betty” Tate Watson. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Stephanie Leigh Moore and Lauren Melissa Jones, and by her sisters Norma Jean Watson and Linda W. Young, and by her brother James Stephen “Steve” Watson. Shirley was a former Clerical Assistant with Central State Hospital. She was a member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas H. Jones. Grand children, Brooke (Hunter) McCarthy, Donald “Bubba” Warren, and Brian “T.J.” Burke. Sisters, Theresa W. (Hoyt) Sanders, Patsy W. Sams, Barbara (Terry) Keasler, and Angie W. (Randy) Hanson. Brothers, William “Bill” (Shelia) Watson and John Watson. Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM Friday before services.
