William Franklin Bryant
DANVILLE- Elder William Franklin Bryant, 86, of Cool Springs Road, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, surrounded by his family at the home of his brother, Samuel Bryant.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11:00am at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elders Gary Hall and Michael Hataway will officiate and Elders David Crawford and Jon Mizell will officiate at the graveside.
Mr. Bryant was born in 1937 in Danville, GA to the late Elder Elzie D. Bryant and Ruby Deal Bryant. After his father became ill, Mr. Bryant operated the family farm on Cool Springs road for many years and lived at “the old home place” for his entire life. He joined Cool Springs Primitive Baptist church on January 10, 1965 and remained a faithful member until his death. He was ordained as a Primitive Baptist minister on August 6, 1966 and served as pastor for many churches over the years including Rita Springs, Bethel, Beaver Creek, Trinity, Caney Creek, and Elizabeth. He was a beloved member of the Middle Georgia community and was often asked to perform weddings and funerals for many people across our state. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Guidry, Reaunette Ingram, Joseph “Bud” Bryant, Polly Phillips, Jean Pittman, Hembree Bryant, Elder Elzie D. “E.D.” Bryant, Jr., Wallace NeSmith, Eddie Mae Carter, Bill NeSmith, Sara Rosa, Aaron Bryant, and Hezykiah Bryant.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his brothers, Elder Dan (Judy) Bryant and Elder Sam (Nelda) Bryant, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved him dearly.
The family with gather at the home of Donald and Tammy Pierce. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Danville, Georgia.
