Winnie Estes “Polly” Wimberly Dry Branch, GA- Winnie Estes “Polly” Wimberly, our wonderful Mother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2021. Graveside services were held at 11AM Saturday October 9, 2021 in Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Marty Watson officiated. Mrs. Wimberly was born in Laurens County to the late Cornwell and Winnie Sapp Estes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years James Harvey Wimberly, her eldest daughter Wanda Faye Wimberly and grandson Michael Smith. She was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church where she was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Wimberly also helped prepare many meals at the church at a lot of church functions. Her hobbies included a beautiful garden and sewing for her grandchildren. Mrs. Wimberly is survived by her daughter, Susan W. Smith; son, Larry J. Wimberly; grandson, Jason Smith; granddaughter, Nichole Johnson; many great grandchildren and step great grandchildren also survive. Visit www.reecefuneralhomeinc.com to express tributes.
