DRY BRANCH, GA – Alena Kay Wrye Evans, 50, of Charles Dr., passed away Monday at her residence.

Services will be held Saturday September 20, 2025 at 12:00PM at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery in Hazlehurst, GA. Harold Reece, Jr. will officiate.

Mrs. Evans was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late Allen Keith Wrye, Sr. Alena was a former CNA and worked in several Nursing Facilities as well as Home Health Care. She was also a former Security Guard. Alena was a Baptist.

Alena was such a sweet and giving person, loved by all. She was happiest when she knew that she could help her friends. Alena was such a warrior and fought so hard against all odds. She loved her boys, Luke and Gage Wrye and also her fur babies Belle, Daisy, Leo and Pascal.

Survivors include her husband Troy Evans. Her mother Stella Kay Bonner Wrye. Her brothers Allen Wrye, Jr. and Kevin Wrye.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Saturday before services in the funeral home.
