Alfred Truitt Payne DANVILLE, GA – Alfred Truitt Payne, 70, passed away September 15, 2021 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Friday September 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM, in the Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Norm Yuckers, Harold Reece, Jr. and Heather Floyd will be officiating. Mr. Payne was born in Dublin to the late Alfred H. Payne and Edna Cauley Payne. He was retired from Engelhard Corporation and was also a retired farmer. Mr. Payne attended Walnut Creek Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He is preceded in death by his sister Tootsie Spires and his niece Gail Spires. Mr. Payne is survived by his wife Carol Ann Loyd Payne; step-son Andrew William Toler; Nieces, Wanda (Walker) Knowles, Nancy (Robert) Rickerson; nephew, Rhett (Kathy) Spires; grandson, Jared Arlo Toler; brother-in-law Gene Spires.
