Allen E. Sonier

MACON – Allen Edward Sonier, Jr., 90, of Weatherford Place, passed away Monday June 23, 2025 at his residence.

Services will be held Thursday June 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Clear Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Sammy Allen will officiate.

Mr. Sonier was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts the son of the late Allen Edward Sonier, Sr. and Rosetta Murray Sonier. He was the widower of the late Rose Wood Sonier and Christine Sapp Sonier. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Allen Sonier, LaNelle Sonier Bailey, and Winnie Sonier Frix, and by his step-children Robert Virgil Brewer and Cecil Lynn Brewer. Allen was a 1953 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended MIT. He was a retired Bus Driver for Greyhound Bus Line. Allen was a talented piano player which he used his talents to play piano for his church, Clear Creek Baptist Church where he was a former member. In later year he was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA

Survivors include his step daughter, Teresa B. Cook and Son in law Richard E. Cook.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM before services in the church.
