Alton D. Bridges
DANVILLE – Alton Dean Bridges, 75, of Hwy 358, passed away Wednesday at his residence.
Services will be held Friday at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bridges Cemetery. Harold Reece, Jr. and Charles Hill will officiate.
Mr. Bridges was born in Danville, GA, the son of the late James A. “Bo” Bridges and Fleeta Lou Howell Bridges. He was the widow of the late Susan Lord Bridges, and was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis B. Green and his brother Oren W. “Buddy” Bridges. Alton was a Logger for over 50 years and an employee of Hill Logging. Alton was a very private man and a man of few words…but he could get his point across. He was a loving grandfather to R.J. and Tori. He enjoyed cutting grass, cutting and splitting firewood, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and of course a good cold Budwiser
Survivors include his Daughter, Kristen (Robert) Sanders and his Son, Matt Bridges. Grandchildren, R.J. Sanders, and Tori Sanders. His sister Fannie Lou “Bootsie Floyd. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Farewell to all his friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 3:00PM before Service.
