DRY BRANCH - Ashley Renee Ackerman, age 31, passed away April 8, 2023. She arrived into this world on July 17th, 1991 born to Tish Quinn and Jeffery Scott Ackerman Sr in Macon, GA.

Ashley was a beautiful woman who had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. Ashley loved her family and friends, as well as her sweet dog Delilah. She loved traveling, vacations, art, reading books, music, and playing the flute and saxophone.

Ashley was a free spirit and was a very intelligent woman. She followed her heart and her own path, and she dared to be different. She went on many amazing adventures in her short life, from working in Alaska on a King Salmon boat, to moving to Texas and working on a vineyard. She even moved to Mexico for some time to help teach people how to grow their own food. She was an avid traveler and went all over the United States. She took flight around the world with a positive energy and without fear. She was a true Renaissance woman. She loved getting dressed up, living in the moment, and being unapologetically herself.

Ashley loved new experiences and never wanted to be in the same place for very long and often did things on a whim. She was strong willed and stubborn. She was never too concerned about what other people thought about her approach to life. She had a big heart, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life's challenges. That was a part of who she was, and those traits defined Ashley. She was a strong and brave fighter, but she is now sailing on a journey to shores we cannot see.

Ashley is survived by her Parents: Tish Joiner Sauls & Curtis Sauls, Mark Joiner, Jeff & Kasey Ackerman, and forever remembered by her siblings: Madison, Britney, Ryan, Jeffery, Brandon, Christy, Johnny, Conner, Jaxson, and Jessie.

Surviving grandparents: Marylin Gribble, Jimmy Sauls, and Mary Joiner.

Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who were like family to her.

Ashley was predeceased by her brother Justin Weitz, and her grandparents Edward Jones, Earl Gribble, Carol Ann Sauls, Patty Brown, Jim Ackerman.
