JEFFERSONVILLE – Barbara Joyce Churchwell Maurer, 67, of Main St., passed away Wednesday at her residence.

Services will be held Saturday March 29, 2025 at 3:00PM at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Calvin Watkins will officiate.

Ms. Maurer was born in Hawkinsville, GA the daughter of the late Robert Thomas “Bob” Churchwell and Barbara Jean Darity Churchwell. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Young, and her brothers, Ronnie Churchwell, Danny “Red” Churchwell, and Robert Churchwell. Barbara was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Jason S. (Ashley) Young. Her grandchildren Sidney Young, Chase Young, Tyler King, Dakota Snow Young, and Jason S. Young, Jr. Other family, Leda May, Glenn Darity, Wayne Darity, Nelson Darity, and Dustin Darity, along with a large extended family

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM Saturday before services in the funeral home.
