DANVILLE – Betty Lee Phillips, 84, of Hwy 80, passed away Sunday April 30, 2023 in Macon.

Services will be held Tuesday May 2, 2023 at 3:30PM at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elder Sam Bryant will officiate.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late Clifton and Hazel Nobles Lee. She was the widow of the late Johnny S. Phillips, Sr., and was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Lee. Betty graduated from the Dudley M. Hughes School of Cosmetology and owned her own beauty shop for over 60 years. She was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Johnny S. Phillips, Jr., and Winnie (Claude) Nobles. Her cousin Staley Floyd and Sister in law Judy Phillips. Brother Charles (Reba) Lee. Grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Kasey Smith, Joshua Phillips and Emily Phillips. Great Grandchildren, Ada Gray Smith and Lainey Nicole Smith.
