Carolyn Faulk Schwartz

Carolyn Faulk Schwartz Macon, GA- Carolyn Faulk Schwartz, 87, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. A private burial for family only will be held at the Lee Family Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Ga. with the Reverend Jimmy Asbell officiating. Carolyn was born in Macon on February 17,1935 to the late Charles Reynolds Faulk and Marguerite Newby Faulk. She graduated from Twiggs County High School, attended Mercer University and worked as the assistant to the director of the Naval Ordnance plant for 10 years before she married her husband of 43 years, the late Dr. Larry Arthur Schwartz, Sr. Carolyn was a long time member of the Bibb County Medical Auxiliary and the House and Garden Club where she served in various leadership roles. She was also an active member of The Sewing Club and a past member of the Museum of Arts and Sciences Guild. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Newby Faulk and her sister Rose Faulk Denney. She is survived by her sister Sara Faulk Miley of Auburn, AL; her son Dr. Larry Arthur Schwartz, Jr. of Macon, GA; her daughter Susan Schwartz Mehre and son-in-law Harry James Mehre, III of Sandy Springs, GA.; grandsons Harry James Mehre IV, of Athens, GA and Arthur Reynolds Mehre of Sandy Springs, GA; granddaughter Lucy Carolyn Mehre of Sandy Springs, GA; sisters-in-law Gloria Brody of Macon, GA and Sarah Faulk of Jeffersonville, GA; brothers-in-law Robert Schwartz(Renee) and Bert Schwartz (Edith) of Macon, GA; and many special nieces and nephews.
