Cherrie Hasty Ward

GOOSE CREEK, SC - Cherrie Hasty Ward, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Macon, GA. She was born on February 4, 1938 in Jeffersonville, Georgia, to Bert and Alice (Floyd) Hasty. She was one of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Ward, and her only son, David Neal Brown. She was a member of the Ridge Baptist Church of Summerville for over 40 years. Surviving are her three daughters, Sherree Wallace, Caye Brown, and Lisa Allen. Step-children, Herbert Ward Jr., Tommy Ward, Sheri Stanfield, and Debbie Kladivko. A sister, Charlotte Tarpley, a brother, Dan Hasty, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2107 at 11 am followed by the life well celebrated service at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of local arrangements.
