Donnie Hugh "Don" Dixon

Don H. Dixon MONTROSE – Donnie Hugh “Don” Dixon, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 20, 2020. Graveside services were held Monday November 23, 2020 at 3:00PM at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dexter, GA. Mr. Dixon was born in Dublin, GA, the son of the late Willard and Alma Knight Dixon. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose M. Dixon and by his step son David Bertoch, his brother Frank Dixon, and sister Fannie Jo Bradley. Don grew up in Dexter, GA where he graduated from Dexter High in 1961. He was currently serving as the Mayor of the City of Montrose, GA. He was a member of Montrose Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Don was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his daughter, Donna D. Walley, Granddaughter Charly Walley, Sister Dorothy Cullens, Step Sons Bobby Bertoch and Terry Bertoch, Step Granddaughters, Dana Anaya and Amanda Taylor. Several Nephews and Nieces.
