Edith M. Smith

DANVILLE, GA, Edith Moore Smith passed away March 18, 2018 at her home after a short illness. Graveside services will be held at 3PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at ElSharath Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. She was born January 20, 1930 to the late John Patrick Moore, Sr. and Erlene Padgett Moore and was married 45 years to the late Richard (Jack) S. Smith, Sr. Mrs. Smith was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her siblings Earl Moore, John Patrick Moore, Jr., Opal Sekelsky and Welton Moore. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, son, and sons in laws, Sheryl (Charles) Hill, Richard S. Smith, Jr., Ronda (Taylor) Coppage and Terry Mason. Sisters Murriel Meadows, Bertha Whisinand (Bud) and Hazel Mullis. Grandchildren Wesley Cobb, Heather (Lyle) Dorman, Stuart Smith, Jeremy (Kassi) Hill, Stephanie Smith (Mike Scarbary), Mary Catherine (Michael) Jiang, Victoria (Jess) Weece. Great grandchildren Chaney, Ansley and Darcey Dorman, Brayden, Caleb, Jack and Jase Hill and Gunner Smith. Sister in laws, Joanne Smith, Geneva (Louie) Smith, Dorothy Strickland and Sue Lucas.
