Edward Marshall Saylor JEFFERSONVILLE, GA - Edward Marshall Saylor, 90, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, and formerly of Closplint, KY passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Jeffersonville, GA Born May 8, 1931 in Closplint,KY, he was a retired coal miner. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Marshall was a member of the UMWA and had been a Mason for over 30 years with the Yocum Lodge #897 F&AM and the Cromwell Lodge #692 F&AM. He believed in the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Annetta Sergent Saylor; his parents, Millard Fillmore Saylor, Sr. and Dorothy Kelly Saylor; a son, Robert Fillmore Saylor; three sisters, Myrtle Sexton, Ellene Hall and Bobbie Sue Peace; and five brothers, Rufus, Moran, Millard Saylor, Jr., Oscar and J.D. Saylor. Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Saylor Allen, of Jeffersonville, GA; Grandchildren, Danny Caudill, Annetta Jones. 10 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A private service will be held at a later date. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, GA, and Evarts Funeral Home in Kentucky, has charge of his arrangements.
