Elaine Walters Payne DANVILLE – Elaine Walters Payne, 76, of Old Macon Rd., passed away Monday in Dublin. Graveside services will be held Friday January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ken Brogdon, and Rev. Jeffrey Alligood will officiate. Mrs. Payne was born in Dublin, GA the daughter of the late Joel Doyle and Sara Elizabeth “Bibbie” Thomas Walters. She was preceded in death by her brother Stevie Randall Walters. She was retired after many years with The Bank of Dudley, and was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her relationship and love for her family and Jesus. Aunt Lane was a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews. Her love of people was always shown in the many things that she did for everyone she knew. Cooking lunch for her family on Sunday after church was one of her favorite things. She loved attending the sporting events of all her nieces and nephews. One of the things Aunt Lane showed all of her children was to always be a lady and dress accordingly. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Wade Payne. Brother, Chilor (Sandy) Walters. Sister Beth (Roger) Williams. Sisters in Love, Wendy (Derek) Adams, Clarice Payne and Betty Rose Payne. Nephews Joey (Natalie) Walters. Gil (Debbie) Payne. Nieces, Carrie (Scott) Locke, Amber (Tyler) Williams, Lori (Seth) Nicholson, Dale (Donald) Neal, Julie (Jeffrey) Alligood. Great Nieces and Nephews, Riley Locke, Nolan Locke, Avery Williams, Jase Williams, Kohen Williams, Conner Payne, Katie Rose Alligood, Mattie Grace Alligood, and Sara Beth Alligood; Elise George.
