Anne M. Asbell DRY BRANCH - Elizabeth Anne Moseley Asbell passed away at home on Tuesday night and began her heavenly eternity. Anne was born on November 6, 1948 at Mercy Hospital in Macon, Georgia to Louis and Ruth Moseley (deceased). She graduated from A.L. Miller High School and attended business school. She married her childhood sweetheart, Rev. Charles R. Asbell Sr. and spent 54 years serving by his side in life, love, parenthood and ministry. She was a devoted mother to 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Anne served in many capacities during her 54 years of marriage and 47 years of ministry. She had a beautiful and special talent for singing and music. Through the years she served in many capacities including teacher, choir director, entertainer, and missionary. She served beside Charles as Area Missionary to the Ebenezer Baptist Association for 14 years. She also served as a missionary with Carpenters for Christ and on numerous mission trips around the world including Hawaii, India, and Nicaragua. She worked many jobs including bus driver and cafeteria worker in the Bleckley County School System, business assistant for a CPA, secretarial positions, and owner-operator of her own restaurant, The Cowfe’ in Macon, Georgia. Anne’s exceptional talent for cooking and entertaining aided her success as a caterer for several years after selling her restaurant. To know her was to love her. She was known and loved for her great sense of humor, her wit, and creativity. She never met a stranger. She had the God given talent for creativity which she needed raising 5 children. She was also a wonderful presence when she entered a room. Her presence in Heaven creates a huge void here on Earth. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Charles R Asbell, Sr, her children Elizabeth Monique ”Monni” (Charlie) Parrish, Rebecca Anne “Becky” Asbell (Lauren Hilton), Patricia Lee “Trish” (John) Wilson, Charles R. Jr “Chuck” (Amber) Asbell, and Scarlett Ruth (Chris) Arnold. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren: Andrei, Nicole, Carlyn, Abigail (Anthony), Jesse, Michael, Kinsley, Corvin, Veigh Anne, Seth, Kade, Juli, Luke, Eli, and Tye as well as her great grandchild, Elizabeth Lee Brunson. There will be a celebration of life in her honor on Friday, March 26 at 11am at Stone Creek Baptist Church in Dry Branch, Georgia with Reverend Chris Arnold, Reverend Charles Carter, and Dr. Mark Grinstead officiating. Visitation will be at 10am Friday before services begin. Graveside immediately following the service at Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Terry Moseley and Reverend Brian Moseley officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Stone Creek Baptist Church, 854 Riggins Mill Rd, Dry Branch, GA 31020.
