DANVILLE - Elizabeth Knight Pierce, 82, of Knight Pond Rd., passed away Tuesday in Dublin. Services will be held Friday July 21, 2017 at 11:00AM in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hamrick, Rev. Jimmy Brown, and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Mrs. Pierce was born in Wilkinson County, the daughter of the late Marvin Edwin and Annie Irene Butler Knight. She was the widow of the late J.B. Pierce. Elizabeth loved the Lord and truly had a servants heart. She was a Beautician, Secretary for Knight Brothers Lumber Co., Secretary for Allentown Chip Co., and even worked at the Wilkinson County Convenience Center. Her dedication to serve others showed in that she worked even up to last Wednesday, then took a few days to enjoy her family whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her children, James D. (Donna) Pierce, Lynne Pierce, and Farrell (Keysha) Pierce. Grandchildren, Clay (Jessie) Lavender, Candace (Michael) Gibson, Rachel (Josh) Thigpen, Elizabeth Tyre, and Silas Pierce. Great Grandchildren, Madison, Kinley, Emma Kate and Lily Grace Lavender, Emery Jade Tyre, Raegan and Tuck Thigpen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements
