MACON – Emelie Yvonne Desroaches Lord, 85, of North Sgoda Circle, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2026 in Macon.

Services will be held Friday May 1, 2026 at 12:00PM at Stone Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Dr. Richard McNair will officiate.

Mrs. Lord was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Oscar Lewis Maddox and Laura Morin Maddox. She was the widow of the late James Franklin Lord, Jr., and was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Hopper, Shirley Gilder, and Joan Williams. Emelie was a self employed Daycare teacher and a Homemaker. She was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Justin (Kelly) Lord, Charles McNeal, Gerald McNeal, Lewis McNeal, and Harold (Rayda) McNeal. Sister, Jean Tuck. Seven Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Friday in the church before services.
