Etta Jo Poss JACKSON, GA – Etta Jo Mickler-Poss, 81, of Antony Dr., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday April 19, 2021. A Celebration of Etta Jo’s Life will be held Saturday April 24, 2021 at 1:00PM, at Calvary Community Chapel in Macon, GA. Rev. Robert Webb will officiate. Etta Jo attended Calvary Community Chapel. In her younger years she started a family singing group “The Mickler’s” and traveled and ministered through out the United States, Canada and Mexico. In the years of their ministry, they recorded seven albums. The Mickler’s hosted weekly Sunday morning gospel music TV shows on channel 41 in Macon. Her passion in life was winning souls to Christ and singing. It was a common joke in the Mickler household…if you don’t play an instrument or sing; you don’t eat. She would drive 300 miles to sing one song. She lived her life to the fullest. Etta Jo was born in Chester, GA the daughter of the late Alvin J. Peacock and Lilla Mae Simmons Peacock, and was preceded in death by her son Reginald “Reggie” Ray Mickler, and her grandchildren, Sion and Emma. SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband Harold E.
