MONTROSE – Faye Herrington Pickron, 93, of Montrose-Allentown Rd., passed away Sunday August 3, 2025 at her residence.

Services will be held Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 11:00am at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Alligood will officiate.

Mrs. Pickron was born in Millen, GA, and at the age of 5 moved to Twiggs County before living the rest of her life in Montrose/Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late William Holmes Herrington and Essie Brinson Herrington, and was the widow of the late John R. Pickron. She was preceded in death by her sister, Reunette H. Sloan, her brothers, Julian H. Herrington, Wycliff J. Herrington, and Thomas Young “T.Y.” Herrington, and by her son in law, Jimmy C. Reid. Faye was a former sales clerk with Woolworth and JC Penny stores, and was the former Postal Clerk at the Montrose Post Office where she won awards for customer service. She loved working in her yard growing all types of flowers. She enjoyed vacations to the Great Smokey Mountains and her love for her dog “Rusty”. Faye was a member of Habersham United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, John William Pickron and her daughter Mary P. Reid. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am before services in the funeral home.
