Frank Melton " Frankie " Davis

Frank M. “Frankie” Davis, 80 passed away May 13, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday May 17, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Danville, GA. Burial will follow at 3:30 pm in the Irwinville Cemetery in Irwinville, GA. Rev. Dwayne Bedingfield will be officiating.

Mr. Davis was born in Irwin County, GA to the late Alfred M. Davis and Mildred Tomberlin Davis. He was the widower of the late Lynda Anne Hair Davis and was also preceded in death by his brother Buddy Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from CSX railroad and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Danville, GA

He is survived by his children Brent (Amy) Davis and Cara Davis Hamby; sister, Patricia Henline; and grandchildren, Mobley, Cord and Emma Hamby, Franky (Anna), Emily Rose, Matthew and Mimi Davis; great grandchildren Trey and Ellie Davis also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Friday before the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and from 3-3:30 pm in the Irwinville Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
