Helen Juanita “Nita” Couey ALLENTOWN – Helen Juanita “Nita” Bridges Couey, 86, of Hwy 80, passed away Friday in Dublin. Graveside services will be held Tuesday February 2, 2021 at 11:00AM at Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Hamrick and Rev. Jeff Alligood will officiate. Ms Couey was born in Montrose, GA the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Essie Melba Payne Bridges. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Sloan and her brother Wayne Bridges. “Nita” was a retired Teller with the Bank of Dudley and was a member of Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Kim (Joe) Yanez, and Karen (Robert) Vermilyea. Brother, Bennie (Robin) Bridges. Grandchildren, Tasha Mimbs, Caroline DuPree, Shae Yanez, and Alexis Vermilyea. Great Grandchildren, Cody Mimbs, Taylor Mimbs, and Caleb Mimbs. Five Great Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. In memory of “Nita” and for everyone’s protection, the family is requiring that masks be worn and to please observe restrictions related to COVID 19 by practicing social distancing and all safety precautions.
