Herman E. Floyd JEFFERSONVILLE – Herman Edward Floyd, 75, of Hamlin Floyd Rd., passed away Wednesday at his residence. Services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in the church cemetery. Charles Hill, Rev. Bob Powell and Rev. Dwayne Bedingfield will officiate. Mr. Floyd was born in Jeffersonville, GA, the son of the late John Hembree and Neva Thompson Floyd, and was preceded in death by his brothers, John Adrian Floyd, and Harrell Floyd. Herman was a retired Dragline Operator for over 30 years with J.M. Huber, and was a Bulldozier Operator with Hill Logging. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Herman was a Past Master of Cool Spring Masonic Lodge #185 and has served as Director of Work for many years. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sue Ellen R. Floyd. His sons, Greg (Tammy) Floyd and Doug (Julie) Floyd. His Grandchildren, Jacob Floyd, Chance Floyd, Eli Floyd, Amanda Killebrew, Derek (Cherise) Keener, and Bryan Keener. Great Granddaughter, Kimber Little. Sisters in Law, Janice Floyd and Cherry (Richard) Mullis. Brother in Law Harold (Becky) Reece, Jr. Nieces, Brandi Zachman, Carrie Martucci, and Amanda Radebaugh. Nephews, Johnny Floyd, Wayne Floyd, Anthony Floyd, and Marcus Floyd, Hunter Reece, and Jesse Reece. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday in Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
