MACON – Irvin Nelson “Bud” Floyd, Sr., 84, of Sgoda Rd., passed away September 9, 2024 at his residence.

Services will be held at 3:00PM Friday September 13, 2024 at Reece Funeral Home Burial will be in Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Richard McNair will officiate.

Mr. Floyd was born in Dry Branch, GA the son of the late William Levi Floyd and Ruby Mae Thompson Floyd. He was the widow of the late Patricia Kay Darsey Floyd and was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur “Tunny” Floyd, Henry “Buck” Floyd, and Robert Floyd. “Bud” was a retired Office manager with Dan River, Inc. (Bibb Manufacturing). He was a Veteran of The United States Army and was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon..

Survivors include his sons Irvin Nelson (Denise) Floyd, Jr. and William Joseph “Joey” (Jennifer) Floyd. Grandchildren, Austin Floyd, Amber Floyd, Levi Floyd, and Keith Collins. Eight Great Grandchildren. Sister, Claudia F. Baker. Several Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday in the funeral home.
