James Stephen “Steve” Watson JEFFERSONVILLE – James Stephen “Steve” Watson, 67, passed away Thursday in Macon. Services will be held Wednesday November 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Reece Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Hamrick and Harold Reece, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery. Mr. Watson was born in Macon, GA, the son of the late Willie Fred Watson and Elizabeth “Betty” Tate Watson. He was preceded in death by his sisters Norma Jean Watson and Linda Watson Young. Steve was a graduate of Twiggs Academy and was a former employee of Nord Kaolin and NAPA Auto Parts, he was a heavy equipment operator with the Twiggs County Road Department. He was a member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church. Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting, talking with his friends, and gardening. Survivors include his Sons, James Stephen “Jamie” Watson, II; and Christopher Paul (Nikki) Watson. Step-Son, Ronnie (Laura) Little, Jr. Grandchildren, Jaylin Watson, Jordan Watson, Tristan Watson, Meadow Adams, Weston Watson, River Watson, Jake Little and Morgan Little. Brothers, Bill (Shelia) Watson, and John Watson. Sisters, Shirley (Doug) Jones, Theresa (Hoyt) Sanders, Patsy Sams, Barbara (Terry) Keasler, and Angie (Randy) Hanson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence of Bill & Shelia Watson, Bullard Rd., Jeffersonville, GA.
