TALLAHASSEE, FL – Jeffery Dewain Turner, 54, of Fawn Hill Trail, passed away Tuesday November 21, 2023 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Friday December 1, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery. Danny Joiner and Casey Carden will officiate.

Mr. Turner was born in Dublin, GA the son of Russell Wayne Turner and Carolyn Upshaw Turner. Jeff graduated from Twiggs County High School and attended Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin, GA where he earned a Machinist Degree. Later he went on to attend and graduate from the Georgia Police Academy at Central Georgia Tech. He was a Police Officer in Jeffersonville, GA, Cochran, GA, and Jacksonville, GA. Afterwards he worked for Heartland Ambulance Service. While living in Georgia he attended New Life Church of God, and helped with providing Christmas to needy children. After moving to Florida he joined Capital City Church in Tallahassee where he and Ginny led the OASIS (Older Adults Sharing in Service) group. Jeff enjoyed watching his Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida State Seminoles play football. He also enjoyed attending FSU softball games with Carli and Kayla.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Turner. His daughters, Carli Turner and Kayla Turner. His mother, Carolyn Turner. Sisters, Lisa (Ferrell) Kitchens, and Sonia Turner. His In-Laws, Ben and Carolyn Brown, and Tracie (Don) Lawler. Nephews, Wesley Kitchens, and Addison (Fennie) Lawler. Niece, Ariel (Adam) Hoch.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday November 30, 2023 in the funeral home.
