EATONTON, GA – John Wesley Kitchens, 68, of Possum Point Dr., passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at his residence

Graveside services will be held Friday September 19, 2025 at 3:00PM at the Kitchens Family Cemetery.

Mr. Kitchens was born in Macon, GA the son of the late Wesley Ferrell Kitchens and Laura Lee Schlotterbeck Kitchens. John was a former employee of Nord Kaolin, Dry Branch Kaolin, Imerys Kaolin, and Active Minerals.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Asbell Kitchens. His children, Joshua Caleb Kitchens, Elijah Seth Kitchens, and Stacie Megan (John) Tucker. His grandchildren, Cannen Tucker and Courtney Tucker. His siblings, Michael “Mike” (Shelia) Kitchens, Chris (Leslie) Kitchens, George (Cindy) Kitchens, and Wanda (Ken) Fowler. His in-laws, Earl (Jane) Asbell, Steve (Sandra) Asbell, Sybil (Johnny) Newby, and Frankie Asbell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday in the funeral home.
