Kathryn P. Payne

ALLENTOWN – Kathryn Purser Payne, 93, of Brookdale Dr., passed away Sunday in Cochran. Services will be held Wednesday June 13, 2018 at 11AM in the Allentown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Allentown City Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Alligood and Rev. Billy Wicker will officiate. Mrs. Payne was born in Bleckley County, the daughter of the late Henry and Essie Richardson Purser. She was the widow of the late John Wyatt Payne and was preceded in death by her Brothers, Jack Purser, and Dwight Purser, and her Sister, Blondine Jones. Mrs. Payne was a Homemaker and a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church where she was active in the AGAPE Stichers sewing group. Survivors include her Son, John W. Payne, Jr., and her Daughter, Judy (Larry) Holliday. Grandchildren, Amy Holliday, Connie (Joe)Ward), and Cole (Amanda) Holliday. Great Grandchildren, Mika Floyd, Wyatt Ward, Acie Carter, Smith Holliday, and Eva-Kathryn Holliday. Several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the Allentown City Cemetery Fund at, P.O. Box 100, Allentown, GA 31003 The family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM before the service on Wednesday. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements.
