Kathy D. Asbell
Kathy Darlene Asbell passed away on May 29, 2025, at age 64. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, love of children and devotion to family, friends and Christ Jesus… Her Lord & Savior.
Kathy was born on August 1, 1960, in Macon, Ga. to Eustace Asbell and Betty (Mote) Asbell. Kathy graduated from Twiggs County High School in Jeffersonville and attended Macon Technical College in Macon, Georgia where she received training in Child Care Development. She worked in Child Care for several years before becoming disabled. For many years she cared for more children than you could ever imagine. Her passion was telling the children of Christ Jesus and what he has done and is going to do. If you ever saw Kathy, 95% of the time you saw a smile on her face, a smile in her eyes and a smile on her heart.
In the “Twinkling of an eye”, “Like a thief in the night” … We are all given one second to eternity… When you least expect it, where will you spend it? Don’t live your life as if the “Blood on the Cross” has set you free. Grace is freely given for something you don’t deserve, but you must come to the foot of that Cross. When Jesus said “tetelestai”, he was saying that our debt to God has been paid in full. In order to receive his gift, we must accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, confess, seek forgiveness and repent. This is where Kathy received her smile that was on her face, in her eyes and upon her heart. She has been made anew, her Earthly vessel replaced, reunited with family and friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents and grandparents; her sisters Dianne (Asbell) Frazier of Rome, Georgia, Lona Faye Asbell of Macon, Georgia, and her brothers Jerry Asbell of Byron, Georgia and Emmett (Smitty) Asbell of Warner Robins, Ga.
Survivors include her Uncle Raleigh Mote (Hannelore) and Brothers: Don Asbell (Carolyn), Jim Asbell, Al Williamson (Susan), Mike Asbell (Terri), Bryan Asbell, and a whole slew of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She will be sorely missed by all her many friends and her Church family.
