GRAY, GA – Kristopher Stefan “Kris” Rickerson, 50, passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025 in Macon.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Rickerson was born in Dublin, GA, and was preceded in death by his Sister Amy Rickerson, his Brother Bob Rickerson, his Grandparents Gene and Tootsie Spires and Walter and Willie Rickerson, and his Great Uncle Truitt Payne.

Kris retired after a long and dedicated career at Middle Georgia College and State University in Informational Technology having built a reputation as someone who was not only skilled, but genuinely kind and patient. He was always willing to help others, fix problems, and learn new things. Helping others came naturally to him, approaching every problem with, “Well, let’s see here.”

A true lover of music, Kris found joy in attending concerts, collecting t-shirts, and listening to The Classic Country Jukebox. Music was more than a pastime; it was a way to connect with others and to celebrate life. “Music is the heart's way of remembering."

He also loved to travel and enjoyed experiencing new places and creating memories along the way. Above all, Kris loved people. Conversations, laughter, shared stories, and meaningful connections were at the heart of who he was.

He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, generosity, patience, and love. Kris’s legacy lives on through his children and the many lives he touched.

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

Survivors include his Wife, Paula Rickerson. Son, Kacey Rickerson. Daughters, Korie Rickerson and Mychala Freeman. His Parents, Robert L. Rickerson and Nancy S. Rickerson.
