KITE, GA – Michael Shane Pernell, Sr., 58, passed away Wednesday May 13, 2026 in Macon, GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00AM in the Kite Homemakers Clubhouse, 2054 Montgomery St., Kite, GA 31049

Mr. Pernell was born in Swainsboro, GA, the son of the late J.L. Pernell and Georgia Mae Willis Palicka. He was the widower of the late Kelly Sue Simpson Pernell and was preceded in death by his son Michael Shane Pernell, Jr. Michael was a long time construction worker with John Page Construction.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Drayton) Lewis. His sister Angie (Ron Smith) Pernell. His grandchildren Hunter Overstreet, Payton Thomas, and McKinley Canady.
