DRY BRANCH – Michael R. Purvis, 52, of Crescent Rd., passed away Friday in Atlanta, GA.

Services will be held Sunday August 27, 2023 at 4:00PM in Reece Funeral Home. Harold Reece, Jr. will officiate.

Mr. Purvis was born in Macon, GA the son of the late W. Ralph Purvis. He was preceded in death by his sister Kerri Purvis Howell. Michael was a Transportation Driver with Teamsters Local 728 in the film and video industry. He was a ten year Veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Gulf War. Michael was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Eva Fountain Mercer. Daughter Jessi Purvis, Sister Lisa Mercer. Niece Dakota Mercer (Logan) Pittman. Nephews Hunter (Savannah) Howell and Jonathan Mercer.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 4:00PM Sunday in the funeral home.
