MACON – Romona Gail Peters Elsasser, 64, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2025 in Macon.

Graveside services will be held Monday June 2, 2025 at 1:00PM at the Hinson-Barnes Cemetery in Dry Branch.

Mrs. Elsasser was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Peters, Jr. and Bessie Lavada Simmons Peters. She was the widow of the late Thomas Elsasser and was preceded in death by her sister Judy Witherington. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her children, Matthew Evans, Jason Evans, Zachary (Marissa) Evans, and Bobbie (Antonio) Altamirano. Her sisters, Rebecca Mathis, Lisa Cannon, and Tammy Pippin. Her grandchildren, Brynn Evans, Tallulah Evans, Laila Evans, Noah Evans, Eli Altamirano, Mia Altamirano, Ariel Evans, and Jason Evans. Several Niece and Nephews.
