DANVILLE – Sara Emily Parker Carden, 89 of Lucy Chapel Rd., passed away Sunday at her residence. Services will be held Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 300 PM in Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bob Powell and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Mrs. Carden was born in Danville, (Twiggs County), the daughter of the late Arid Lee Parker and Hattie Bruce Parker. She was the widow of the late Benjamin Henry Carden, Sr. and was preceded in death by her son David Bruce Carden, along with Six Brothers and Two Sisters. Sara was a homemaker and a member of Lucy Chapel United Methodist Church where she served many years as church treasurer. Survivors include her Sons, Bennie (Brenda) Carden, and Mike (Shana) Carden. Grandchildren, Amy D. (Wesley) Hines and Christopher L. Carden. Great Grandchildren, Haley Hines, Holden Hines, Hudson Hines, Isabella Carden and Camron Lynn. Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 Tuesday before the service in the church. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to the Lucy Chapel UMC Cemetery Fund.
