Sara Faulk “Sister” Miley

AUBURN, AL - A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Sara Marguerite Faulk Miley (Sister) on February 12, 2025 at 2:00 EST in the Lee Cemetery in Danville, (Twiggs County), Georgia.

Sara, a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. She was 92.

She enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors and volunteering at the Baptist Student Union at Auburn University and East Alabama Medical Center. Working in her yard and growing flowers was another hobby. She was a superb cook and liked to share her recipes with family and friends. She was an accomplished seamstress and also was very good at crocheting. More than that, she was a very dedicated Christian and attended Auburn First Baptist Church where she was an active member until her later years.

Sara was born on February 25, 1932 in Jeffersonville, Georgia to Charles Reynolds Faulk, Jr. and Marguerite Dupree Newby Faulk. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Clarence C. Miley and three siblings, Lawrence Newby Faulk, Carolyn F. Schwartz and Rose F. Denny.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael Miley (Glenda), Charles Miley, and Ben Miley; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Tomlinson (Joey), Meredith Lee (Jed) and Michael Christian Miley; 3 great-grandchildren, Macayla Tomlinson, Evie Tomlinson and Johnathan Lee.
