JEFFERSONVILLE – Sharon Shirley Vertz Short, 71, of Maulk Thompson Rd., passed away Sunday August 4, 2024 at her residence.

Services will be held at a later date.

Sharon was born in Polar, WI and was proceeded in death by her parents Walter and Catherine Vertz, her siblings Alfred Vertz, Charlotte Vertz,, Walter Vertz Jr., Willard Vertz, and Carol (Vertz) Hintt. She was a former employee of PlastiCan in Macon, GA.

Sharon is survived by her husband George “Lucky” Short, her siblings Joyce Vertz (Her Friend), Delbert Vertz (Illa), Joann Sutte (Dennis), Sally Mueller, Edith Anderson, Ervin Vertz (Jean), Dale, her nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends
