Dry Branch, GA - Shelia Ryals Owens, 78, passed away October 27, 2023 in Jeffersonville, GA. Graveside services will be held Friday November 3, 2023 at 11am in the Georgia War Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Dr. Richard McNair will be officiating.

Mrs. Owens was born in Alamo, GA to the late Larry Ryals and Retha Lou Goss Ryals. She was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Owens, Jr. and brother Gavin Ryals. She was a retired kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Owens was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Sabrina Brooks; sister, Karen Lawson; two grandchildren, Jessica Brooks and Gregg Brooks, Jr. (Kristianna) and one great grandchild, Ryleigh Brooks.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
