MACON - Shirley Melvin Pinnell, 82, of Hammock Rd., passed away Thursday January 22, 2026 at her residence.

Services will be held Tuesday January 27, 2026 at 2:00PM at New Haven Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Gabby Loyd will officiate.

Mrs. Pinnell was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late William Eddie Melvin and Corine Yawn Melvin. She was the widow of the late Ralph Quincy Pinnell. Shirley was a retired Insurance Clerk with the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters Cheryl (Chris) Brigham and Donna Lacy. Her son Quinn (Amanda) Pinnell. Her grandchildren, Mandy Hickman, Zach Brigham, Jessie (Blake) Grove, Justin Lacy, Josh (Miracle) Lacy, Jake Lacy, Alexis (Jarrod) Derflinger, Madison (Emmalee) Pinnell, and Parker Pinnell. Her great grandchildren, George (Cheyenne) Hickman, Carson Taylor, Lucy Grove, Greyson Grove, and Kimber Derflinger. Her great great grandchildren, Paisley Jean Hickman and Bennett Brigham. Her brothers, Will Ed Melvin and Jimmy Melvin. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 2:00PM Tuesday before services in the church.
