DRY BRANCH – Steve Bert Brooks, 79, of Kaolin Heights Rd., passed away Thursday May 8, 2025 in Macon.

Services will be held Monday May 12, 2025 at 10:00AM at Stone Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Steve Mote and Rev. Gabby Loyd will officiate.

Mr. Brooks was born in Gordon, GA the son of the late Silas N. Brooks and Everleen Brantley Brooks. He was the widower of the late Elizabeth Ann Loyd Brooks, and was preceded in death by his Granddaughter Courtney Watson, his Siblings, Roger Brooks, Newman Brooks, Bobby Brooks, and Kate Wells. Steve was retired after over 30 years with Georgia Kaolin and was active in the Georgia Kaolin Retired Employees Group. He was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

Survivors include his Daughters, Tracy (Darrell) Smith, and Cathy (Lane) Sewell.

His Grandchildren, Austin (Emily) Sewell, Alan Sewell, Wesley Watson, and Linsey Watson. His Sister Wanda (Vernon) Henry. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:00AM to 10:00AM Monday before services in the church.
